Arjen Anthony Lucassen "Lost in the New Real" ('12)

Arjen Anthony Lucassenの"Lost in the New Real"も届いております。
Arjen Anthony LucassenらしいSFストーリーをベースにしたソロ。Ayreonとの違いは登場人物の少なさだろうか？！
今回のソロは殆どArjen Anthony Lucassen一人で作り上げたものなので当然そうなるでしょう。
ナレーションになんと映画「Blade Runner」で有名なRutger Hauerを起用。
この動画ではDisc 1の最後の曲である表題曲でArjen Anthony Lucassen自身がコメントを残している。Pink FloydやQueenなどからの影響を表明している（明白でもあるんですけどね）。

個人的に"Pink Beatles in a Purple Zeppelin"が凄く面白いな、と。未来ではメロディーなど全ての組み合わせが既に試みられていて、新しいモノなど創造する余地さえもない。何故新しい曲なんぞを作る必要があるのか？みたいな。
消したところには名前が入ってました。ありがとうございます。




Disc2には幾つかA.A.Lucassenらしいカヴァーがあるんだけど、やはりこうしてみると、サイケ系が多いよね。Star Oneで"Space Metal"ってあったけど、個人的にはドンピシャだと思う。サイケ系スペース・メタル。Hawkwindとかがかっちりしたメタルやっている、みたいな。そのルーツを辿るのに適したのがこのStrange Hobby。
