Brand X IIというのはJohn Goodsall（g）にDoug Lunn（b）、現Spock's BeardのNick D'VirgilioにAl Salasという布陣。ヴォーカルはNick D'Virgilioかな？
John Fordの"Carpet Crowlers"は味があるだけにドラムが残念。。。打ち込みかな？
John Wettonの"Your Own Special Way"も悪くないんだけど、こういう曲だからこそのアレンジの妙みたいなのを見せて欲しかった、というのは贅沢なリクエストだろうか？
最も正統派なのはきっとPatrick Morazの"Los Endos"とThe Flower Kingsの"Cinema Show"だろうね。
スペース・ウィスパーと反復ビートの"In the Beginning"、オリジナルからしてエキセントリックな"The Waiting Room"。
ちょっとBob Dylanあたりを思わせるヴォーカルを披露するDaevid Allen。
リズムの柔らかさ、っていうのかな？確かに硬質なのが今風ではあると思うんだけど、そんな中、そういう意味ではリズムの柔らかさをしっかりと打ち出したのがThe Flower Kingsだと思う。
意外と選曲も面白いし、人選もトリビュート物ならでは、って感じがして個人的には好き。
色々なタイプのサウンドに触れられるコンピというのは大切だと思う。
